Mossyrock Area Action League, a product of WSU's Horizons Program, is honored to introduce our esteemed Chairman who's sage advice has guided our organization's development.
Glenn Aldrich was born at the family’s Mossyrock farm home in 1936. He is a graduate of Mossyrock school system and Washington State University with a B.S. in Agriculture and M.S. in Agricultural Education. He taught HS vocational agriculture, served his country as a Personnel/Administrative Officer in the USAF, married the love of his life and returned to the family farm in 1964. He is a proud parent and grandparent. Glenn and Wisten own and operate Aldrich Berry Farm and Nursery, Inc. “the home of the original ‘Mossyrock’ Blueberries”™. He has participated and served in a number of agricultural industry and civic organizations including:
WA Blueberry Commission
WA Farm Bureau
Pacific NW Christmas Tree Association and a founder of
Producer Marketing Corporation
(A successful blueberry marketing company for 30+years)
Mossyrock School Board
Lewis County Commissioner
Mason member for nearly 50 years and is a Past Master of Robert Morris Lodge #97, F&AM, Silver Creek
Glenn says, “I understand that farming is more than just a business because taking care of the land – our environment – is more than a romantic notion. Being able to pass on land and a business in better condition than how we received it, is literally our investment in the future.”
He joined the Horizons Project hoping to help community life in the Mossyrock area and to develop a long-lived organization to retain the beauty of the area, the productivity of the environment, and strive for increased economic viability of our community.
