that low income families have in aquiring late model dependable cars. Also discussed were the challenges of locating appropriate cars,costs of insurance, financing qualifications and dealing with unforseen events with
an automobile.
Many people in the Mossyrock area need to travel sometimes many miles to school and/or work and access to dependable transportation can be a challenge for some families. MAAL, along with partners, hopes to bring an affordable car ownership program to our area. Our next step is to interview possible program participants and create an action plan. Look for updates on this project in early September.
