MSD BAND NOTES

Mossyrock High School Band Music Video This year the Mossyrock High School Band is making a music video while playing "Iron Man." We decided to highlight some of Mossyrock's landmarks in the video. We videotaped in front of the new high school gym, went to DeGoede's and filmed inside the poinsettia room, stood on a huge generator at the Mossyrock Dam while playing our song, and filmed the band playing their song "IN THE SNOW" at a tree farm. Two students, Erik Wright and Garrett Lambert are making music videos for the band. Each will share their version with the high school band. The best video will be submitted for the radio contest.Here are the rules for people to vote and support the Mossyrock Band. These voting rules are posted on the KZOK 102.5 radio site: 1) Voting for The School of the Rock Battle of the Bands begins on Monday, January 12th at 6:00am. 2) This year we are voting via text messaging 3) Text your school code to 24300 when voting begins... Small School with Big Sounds Here's something for your Community Awareness and Poverty Structural Changes!Our Mossyrock High School Pep Band is competing again this year in the School of the Rock Battle of the Bands challenge, held by KZOK 102.5 FM. We entered last year, and believe it or not our band earned the Honorable Mention Spot on a CD put out by The Rock Pizza Restaurants in Olympia and Seattle!!!! First prize again this year is $10,000 Second prize is $5,000 3rd-8th prize is $750-$500 + a pizza party AND................ the owners of KZOK Mr & Mrs. Bob Rivers are giving $1250 to "No Band Left Behind"
