Festival Family Potluck Dinner Review

The Blueberry Festival Committee sponsored a potluck dinner for the community on Friday evening, May 29th. After leisurely dinning together on a smorgasbord of homemade foods, we all talked about the upcoming Blueberry Festival. Because of some new events, like the Wiener Dog Races, we are expecting an even bigger crowd than last year. That means we will be needing even more helpers from the community to make it a success for all. Many stepped up to the plate and filled some of our gaps. We could still use some more help, however. We need people to work just 2 or 3 hour shifts during the day of the festival. We will also need some people to help clean up the next day. If we could get an organization, such as a sports group or H.S. class to help with that work, we would pay the organization $100 to do the clean up. It is another way festival funds go back into the community. If you'd be willing to volunteer a couple of hours, email us through http://www.mossyrockfestivals.com/contact.html or call Jackie Morris at 983-3734. People can also help by baking their favorite dessert, especially blueberry related desserts for our bake sale. This was one of our most popular fundraisers last year. Please do not donate any desserts that need refrigeration though; we have no way to show them off. People come here from the city and want good country cookn'! Just give Jackie a call with your food pledge. Jackie Morris, Blueberry Festival coordinator
